En Pointe Academy of Dance – Terms & Conditions (2026)


Introduction

To help you get the best out of En Pointe Academy of Dance, and to ensure a clear understanding of both our responsibilities to you and your responsibilities to us, please read the following Terms and Conditions carefully.

These policies are in place to safeguard the wellbeing of all students and to ensure that En Pointe Academy of Dance continues to be associated with high-quality training, professionalism, and enjoyment.

En Pointe Academy of Dance reserves the right to refuse entry to classes if these terms are not adhered to. Policies are reviewed regularly, and parents/guardians are advised to revisit this document periodically.

1. Payments & Fees

1.1 To secure and retain a place in class, fees must be paid monthly in advance via subscription only.

1.2 Registration and payment must be completed via our website through the ClassForKids system. We do not accept cash, cheque, BACS, or alternative payment methods.

1.3 Payments will be taken from your chosen account on or around the 1st/2nd of each month. Failure to make payment may result in loss of your child’s place in class(es).

1.4 Fees are calculated based on 43 weeks of classes per year and are spread across 12 monthly payments.

1.5 Fees are reviewed annually. En Pointe Academy of Dance reserves the right to amend fees or collection dates, with notice provided via email.

1.6 An annual membership fee of £25 per student is payable on 1st September each year. This covers administration, insurance, licensing, and teacher CPD.

1.7 All fees and event payments are non-refundable.

1.8 All fees are inclusive of VAT.


2. Cancellation

2.1 One full calendar month’s notice is required to cancel any class. This must be provided in writing via email to: eilishpymer@outlook.com

2.2 The notice period requires the following month’s payment to be made.

2.3 Classes with fewer than 5 students may be subject to cancellation.

2.4 Missed classes remain payable. Where possible, alternative classes may be offered.


3. Uniform & Appearance

3.1 En Pointe Academy of Dance uniform must be worn at all classes.

3.2 Uniform can be ordered via En Pointe Academy of Dance or purchased through approved dance retailers.

3.3 No jewellery or accessories are permitted in class for safety reasons.

3.4 Hair must be neatly secured in a bun or ponytail appropriate to the class.

3.5 Students participating in performances may be required to purchase or hire costumes and tickets.


4. Classes, Conduct & Performances

4.1 We aim to deliver high-quality training in a structured, positive, and disciplined environment. Disruptive behaviour will be addressed with warnings and, if necessary, parent consultation.

4.2 Promotional photos and videos may be taken during classes. If you do not wish your child to be included, written notice must be provided.

4.3 En Pointe Academy of Dance may work with external media professionals in line with safeguarding and data protection policies.

4.4 Photography & Media Policy

Any photos or videos taken during En Pointe Academy of Dance class time must not be used by professionals, teachers, or photographers without prior written permission from En Pointe Academy of Dance.

Use of such media without permission will be considered a breach of our safeguarding and photography policy.

Photos or videos must not be used to advertise or promote any other dance school, service, or business, as this constitutes a conflict of interest.

4.5 Annual performances may be professionally recorded. Personal recording devices are not permitted during performances.

4.6 Mobile phones are not permitted in the studio unless authorised for learning purposes.

4.7 En Pointe Academy of Dance accepts no responsibility for lost or damaged belongings. All items should be clearly labelled.

4.8 Students will only be released to a parent/guardian unless prior arrangements have been made.

4.9 While all reasonable care is taken, En Pointe Academy of Dance cannot be held responsible for injuries sustained during classes.

4.10 Late collection must be communicated. Additional charges may apply.

4.11 Any class changes must be confirmed in writing and updated via your ClassForKids account.


5. Discipline & Behaviour

5.1 Respectful behaviour is expected at all times from both students and parents.

5.2 En Pointe Academy of Dance operates a strict anti-bullying policy.

5.3 We promote a positive, structured environment to build confidence and personal development.

5.4 Persistent disruptive or aggressive behaviour may result in termination of membership.


6. General

6.1 All medical conditions must be disclosed upon registration and updated when necessary.

6.2 Communication is primarily via email and social media. Parents/guardians are responsible for staying informed.

6.3 Physical contact may be necessary for teaching purposes and will always be conducted appropriately.

6.4 Classes cancelled due to circumstances beyond our control are non-refundable.

6.5 Participation in performances is optional.


7. Examinations

7.1 Examinations are optional.

7.2 Students entering examinations may be required to attend additional sessions at an extra cost.

7.3 Examination fees are non-refundable.


8. COVID-19

8.1 En Pointe Academy of Dance will continue to follow current government guidance to ensure a safe environment.

8.2 Attendance is at your own risk, and while preventative measures are in place, we cannot guarantee against infection.

8.3 Students must not attend if displaying symptoms or if someone in their household is unwell.
